Internships & apprenticeship

"At L’Oréal, we are actively committed on a daily basis to training young people, with a determination that everyone should have the same opportunities for success in their future professional life. Apprenticeship schemes are an outstanding source of exchanges and an excellent way of recruiting the talents of tomorrow in a new and different way."

Sir Lindsay Owen-Jones, Chairman

L'Oréal has a strong tradition of providing training to graduates. Each year sees dozens of early career professionals hired, and scores of internships offered. In 1993, L'Oréal moved to strengthen this commitment by developing a work-study training (apprenticeship) programme.

Apprenticeship in figures

The results in figures:

  • Some 2,000 graduates have been welcomed to L’Oréal since 1993, i.e. 300 per year

  • All levels of diploma and all professions are represented.

  • Exam pass rates of apprentices at L’Oréal have exceeded 80% since 1998.

  • Roughly a third of all qualified apprentices are hired at the end of their apprenticeship periods.

    At L’Oréal, we view apprenticeship as a path to excellence. We ensure all apprentices are provided with the right tools for success:
  • Training and integration from day one;

  • Regular monitoring and evaluation by voluntary, trained apprenticeship tutors who pass on knowledge and expertise on a daily basis;

  • Assignment of real responsibilities within their team.
