A passion for the job

Frederic

Manufacturing Supply Chain engineer, France

"I am a 27 years old’s French-Germanic. After 4 years of engineering studies in Germany (TH Karlsruhe), I had the opportunity to continue my studies within the framework of a double diploma program, in France. During my final internship within the SOFAMO factory in Monaco, I realized a project in the Manufacturing service. After my studies, I was hired at L'Oréal as responsible for the production plan in the Logistic department of the FAPAGAU factory to Saint-Quentin, France.

My first contact with L'Oréal as trainee gave me the possibility of discovering the Group and its multiple possibilities of career. I entered this opportunity to inquire about the various jobs and to compare them with my interests. The work of the person in charge of the production plan fast drew my attention. At the conclusion of my internship, I applied with the motivation to stay in a factory of the Group on this job.

My work is to build every month a production plan for the factory. This one has to meet the needs at best of our customer by insuring the coherence between its needs and the resources of the factory (capacity, workforce) and by integrating the industrial constraints. On the other hand, I guarantee the good implementation of this plan. In this perspective, I follow the production, I make sure that production units are correctly supplied with raw material) and with articles of packaging. Finally, I watch the good coordination of the various departments, role which could be compared with that of the conductor.
This job gives me a global vision of the business of the factory, he allows me to increase my sense of organization and my communications faculties. It is a demanding, but very fascinating activity."
